Hamm Cooks the Pheasant Again!

HammHeadShotGlenn Hamm posted the low gross score for the third consecutive tournament, vaulting into first place in the point total (103 Points), easily winning Golden Pheasant for his second straight victory on the OCAGA Tour.   He dropped 13 for par and never gave up the lead after a front 9 with 40 strokes. Club Champion Michael Lazarchick suffered through a triple bogey 10th hole. With an otherwise hot back nine, he was only able to finish two strokes off the pace. He placed 9 pars and a birdie on the Scorecard securing second place. Lazarchick did sneak into 4th place currently in the race to the final four. While VEGAS gives him a chance to make the finals to defend his title, Hamm is an overwhelming favorite to go all the way!  A Tribute to Hamm purportedly went viral on the internet shortly after Glenn’s latest impressive display. Glenn with 4 OCAGA Tour Championships is in hot pursuit of Art Czachorowski’s Record.

Third place on the day went to Eddie Borillo who took a Faint Glimmer of Hope to the 2002 Tour Championship. Eddie is now in position to contend for the coveted 4th spot in the Final Four.  Don St George with 98 points and even Marc Bohan at 89 points are unlikely to be caught.  With tournament turnout  at a torpid trend, two few tour players partition the top from tenth or twelfth, twisting tabulations to tinier totals.  That was the gist of the discussion at the Polish American Tavern.  Certainly Scotty Shaw and perhaps Art Czachorowski are still within striking distance of Lazarchick, but there are not so many points between first and last place without a full contingent of players.  Of course the Tavern Old Guard wants Art to make it and knock Hamm down another peg!

Meanwhile the OCAGA Filmagrapher was able to secure footage of the Earl of Brentwood getting ready for the St George’s Day Celebrations of 2015. The St George Brewery has experienced record sales (10/20% growth) in direct relationship t0 Don’s success. At the Polish American Diner the big discussion was whether or not the actor playing Scotty Shaw, looked enough like Scotty,  in the documentary about Shaw’s Red Deer’s Queen’s Diner.

SCATMAN 2015

St George continues to take bucks in the handicap SCATS and Marc Bohan maintains his lead in the Scratch Group.
