Casimir purportedly called the OCAGA Investigative Reporter when Czach was not in the two foursomes that teed off on time to start the August 1st Tournament. They called hospitals and sent out search parties along his probable route. When they heard that Art’s Baby Blue Miata mysteriously stopped working, the Polish American Tavern was in an uproar. Of course, the more conspiracy oriented mentioned the Godfather. However, no initial investigations were able to uncover any foul play and when Art did make in time to join the last group on hole 2, the focus quickly shifted to what would become another record breaking day.
In the last few days of his 88 Year, which ends on August 13th, Czach placed a sweet 88 on the Scorecard, the only player to break 90 in light rain at Pinelands. Pin placements were the most challenging thus far experienced on the tour, several on serious slopes like the par 4, 18th hole, which captured an average of slightly over 6 1/2 strokes from the players. But while Art Czachorowski no longer has the long ball, his short game continues to refine with age. Shooting his age is now common for this living legend who continues to dominate the record book on the OCAGA Tour. On Sunday he beat the last two Champions handedly, Lazarchick (94) and Swanson (92). He has won all but one tournament this season and has captured a seat in the Final Four with three tournaments to go, as long as he shows up. Even if either of the players in 5th place win all the remaining tournaments and Art finishes last in a field of at least 12 players, there just are not enough point to catch him. That means even if Marc Bohan or Phil Stocker is able to individually take three in a row, he would get to 150. If Art finishes in 12th place three in a row, he ends the regular season with 157. François met the voluptuous Ingrid displaying the famous Stocker Norwegian Cruise Commemorative Pin prominently on her blouse when she walked into the Cafe for a bite to eat. Fumbling to make conversation he remarked that technically Marc or Phil could also get 3 Closest to the Pin for points. She retorted, “Come on now, You Know that isn’t going to happen!”

Finally returning after an extensive retreat from the OCAGA Tour, 2019 Champion Andy Swanson took a second place finish, ahead of 2019 Rookie of the year Dave Kissinger, whose play continues to show improvement. Joe Champion took fourth making a bid for that same recognition this season. LZ with a very strong finish, after a very slow start, took 5th ahead of Bohan, Juliano Stocker and Gahr. While LZ is even more comfortable in 2nd place, he is not playing Golden Pheasant, instead officiating his son’s stateside wedding in New England and celebrating on the day of the tournament. The door is open for both Bohan and Stocker to catch up. Juliano is favored to pass him and Gahr can easily do the same with a good outing. Both third and fouth place in the final four four are up for grabs, promising an exciting 2021 season.
Czach and Champion shared the top SCATS with Kissinger and Lazarchick at least showing a profit.
Next GOLDEN PHEASANT – AUGUST 29, 2021
The OCAGA Investigative Reporter found the August 2009 Newsletter , posted on the wall in Le Petit Café, home of the Bohan Sandwich Special. It reports on Marc’s 3 over par performance at the Pheasant. Bohan battled Art Czachorowski for the lowest handicap all through the 2009 season and everyone was trying to unseat Phil Stocker, holder of the previous TWO OCAGA CHAMPIONSHIPS. O’Brien, Swanson and Spickler were serious competitors. Lazarchick and Antzcak, not so hot!
